OneRoom's pivot to mobile funeral streaming during Covid lockdowns was one of those rare moments where a product decision became genuinely essential. Families couldn't gather in person, so we built a way for them to grieve together from home—watching services on their phones, present in the only way available to them.
The code wasn't complicated. What mattered was the weight of it. Thousands of people used this feature at their most vulnerable moments, saying goodbye when they couldn't be in the same room. That's what I'm proud of: not the technical execution, but knowing the work actually helped when it was needed most. Building something that serves people in crisis—that's the kind of impact that stays with you.
