Terms of Service
Last updated: May 11, 2026
Welcome to Saywise. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Lifebook LLC (“Saywise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your access to and use of the Saywise website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, reserving a username, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Saywise is
Saywise is a living, video-first professional profile. It is designed to help knowledge professionals show their work — not just describe it — through video, written stories, project case studies, and endorsements. The Service includes AI-assisted tools that help you organize and improve your profile and surface relevant opportunities. Specific features may change over time as the Service evolves.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are between 16 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.
To use most features, you will need to create an account using a valid email address or a supported third-party login. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Your content
Saywise is built around content you create or upload — including your profile, biographical information, work history, education, videos, images, audio, written stories, posts, links, endorsements, and any other material you submit (“Your Content”).
You retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting Your Content to the Service, you grant Saywise a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of (such as transcoded video formats, thumbnails, captions, and translations), publish, publicly display, publicly perform, and distribute Your Content for the purpose of operating, providing, improving, and promoting the Service. This license ends when you (or we) delete Your Content from the Service, except to the extent (a) we are required to retain it by law, (b) it has been shared with others who have not deleted it, or (c) we have anonymized or aggregated it so it can no longer be associated with you.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this license, that Your Content does not violate any third party's rights (including intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights), and that Your Content complies with these Terms and applicable law.
4. Public profile
Saywise profiles are designed to be shared. When you publish a profile, sections you mark as public — such as your name, username, profile photo, bio, work history, education, stories, videos, posts, and endorsements you accept — are intentionally visible to anyone on the internet and may be indexed by search engines and surfaced in link previews. Do not include information you do not want to be public. You can change the visibility of most sections in your settings, but copies may persist in caches, shared links, and search results for some time after a change.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, employment, education, or affiliations, or impersonate any person or entity.
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that promotes discrimination, self-harm, or illegal activity.
- Upload content that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights, or that contains confidential information you are not authorized to share.
- Use the Service to send spam, phishing, malware, or unsolicited commercial communications, or to scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect data about other users except as expressly permitted.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems; probe or test for vulnerabilities; or interfere with the Service's integrity, performance, or availability.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code or the underlying ideas of the Service, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
- Use the Service or any of its outputs (including AI-generated suggestions and match results) to build a competing product, train a foundation model, or develop an automated system that ranks or evaluates candidates outside the Service.
- Use automated means — bots, scrapers, or AI agents — to access the Service except through public interfaces we explicitly provide for that purpose.
We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that, in our reasonable judgment, harm the Service or its users.
6. AI features
The Service uses artificial intelligence to help you build and improve your profile, including features such as content coaching, resume parsing, profile structuring, narrative suggestions, and surfacing opportunities that may match your background. To provide these features, Your Content and related signals may be processed by Saywise and by carefully selected AI providers acting on our behalf under data-processing terms. AI outputs are produced automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and should not be relied on as professional, legal, financial, medical, or hiring decisions. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated suggestions before publishing or acting on them.
We do not use Your Content to train third-party foundation models. Where we use Your Content to improve our own models or product, we will do so in line with our Privacy Policy.
7. Opportunities & third parties
The Service may surface job listings, organizations, and other opportunities sourced from third parties. Saywise is not the employer for any listing shown through the Service, does not endorse any organization or listing, and makes no guarantees about the availability, accuracy, or legitimacy of third-party opportunities. Any interaction you have with a third party — including applying for a job, sharing your profile, or accepting an offer — is solely between you and that third party.
The Service may contain links to third-party sites and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, brand, logos, and content we provide (other than Your Content and third-party content), is owned by Lifebook LLC or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms. No other rights are granted by implication.
If you submit feedback or suggestions about the Service, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them for any purpose without obligation to you.
9. Copyright & takedown
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and similar laws. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to team@saywise.com. Repeat infringers' accounts may be terminated.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end and you must stop using the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive — including ownership, license grants from you to us, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing-law provisions — will survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saywise disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI outputs or matching results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saywise and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Saywise and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (d) your violation of any third-party right.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to applicable law, any dispute arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, give you additional notice (for example, by email or an in-product message). Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.
