Don't give up when you hear no. Understand your passion project and sell it effectively, especially to government customers.
General any word of advice would be to, don't give up when you get told no. Do not give up when told no... You know what's at the core of what you're working on and what your core passion project is. Make that passion project into a business by selling yourself to that government customer over time. A lot of times, it doesn't happen right away. Rarely, it does. When you are selling to government, a lot of times, it is not the best technology that wins, period. It's the best sales team... When the company sells itself to the government in which the government understands it, that's then when you kinda create that meshing, and they become vested partners in each other.
