UT MD Anderson provides cancer care in Houston’s Texas Medical Center, as well as several locations throughout the Greater Houston Area. UT MD Anderson also collaborates with hospitals, health systems and organizations across the U.S. and around the world to advance our mission to end cancer.
UT MD Anderson was created in 1941 as part of The University of Texas System, and, in 1971, it became one of the nation’s original three comprehensive cancer centers designated by the National Cancer Act of 1971.
