Anime Producer and Founder of Qubic Pictures
In 1997, Justin began his career as an animator at Blue Sky Studios. In 2001, he moved to Japan to work as a CG creator at Production I.G on Mamoru Oshii's Innocence: Ghost in the Shell 2 and Kill Bill. In 2005, Justin joined the founding team at Lucasfilm Animation to help create The Clone Wars animated series. He returned to Blue Sky in 2007 to contribute to several animated features. In 2012, Justin produced the first crowdfunded anime on Kickstarter, Kick-Heart, directed by Masaaki Yuasa. He then helped produce other notable titles such as Adventure Time: Food Chain and Under the Dog. In 2018, Justin founded a new production company, Qubic Pictures, based in Tokyo and New York. That same year, he pitched an original series to Netflix called Eden, which was produced by Qubic and released globally on Netflix in the spring of 2021. After completing Eden, Justin reunited with Lucasfilm to help launch the new anthology series Star Wars: Visions as Co-Executive Producer. He currently serves as Executive Producer on the upcoming Netflix series Leviathan, directed by Christophe Ferriera and animated by Orange. Justin also returns to Lucasfilm to serve as Co-Executive Producer on Star Wars: Visions Season 3 due in 2025.
