Role Description
The General Manager role at Chainalysis is a full-time, hybrid position based in Chicago, IL, with flexibility for part-time work from home. The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure strategic initiatives are executed effectively in alignment with company goals. Responsibilities include setting performance targets, managing budgets, optimizing processes, and monitoring key metrics to drive sustainable growth. This role will collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop market strategies, expand client relationships, and identify new opportunities within the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. The General Manager will also play a key role in coaching team members, fostering an inclusive culture, and ensuring regulatory and organizational policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in general management, operations leadership, or business unit ownership within a technology, fintech, or analytics-focused organization.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage budgets, and use data-driven decision-making to improve performance and efficiency.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams, supporting professional development, and cultivating an inclusive, high-performing culture.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, with experience working closely with executive leadership and external partners.
• Familiarity with blockchain, cryptocurrency markets, or financial services risk and compliance is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site leadership in Chicago, IL with remote collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology Management, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus.
• Comfort with rapidly evolving technologies and markets, and a track record of adapting to change while maintaining operational stability.
