Overview:
Own Seismic’s relationship with Amazon at the executive level. Grow it, defend it, and prove the value we deliver.

Why This Role Matters

Amazon is one of our most strategic accounts: a complex, multi-unit organization with significant growth potential. This seat is not about managing a contract. It is about earning our place in the business every quarter, with executives who have plenty of options. You will be the single accountable owner of that relationship.

Who you are:
Required

• Direct experience selling to Amazon at a strategic level. You have navigated Amazon’s buying process, organizational structure and executive landscape, and have closed or expanded multiple (two or more) large enterprise deals there.
• 10+ years of enterprise B2B software sales, with a record of strategic account ownership at seven- and eight-figure scale or above.
• Proven success in complex, multi-stakeholder, multi-unit accounts.
• Experience selling to customers with the ability to build in-house, and winning on measured value.
• Executive presence, with comfort in VP and C-level conversations.
• Fluency with MEDDPICC.
• Comfort with AI-supported, digital-first selling.

Nice to have

• Background in sales enablement or GTM technology.
• Experience with AWS partner or marketplace motions.

How You Work

• Action-first and results-driven. You move fast and follow through.
• A builder of relationships. You influence without authority.
• Honest about risk. You say early and plainly what is not working.
• A team player. You share credit and ask for help.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own the account. Lead strategy, pipeline, forecast and renewal across Amazon’s operating units, with AWS as the anchor.
• Build executive alignment. Develop and sustain relationships with senior leaders, not just day-to-day users, and keep executive sponsors engaged and informed.
• Prove value. Partner with Customer Success to define customer-agreed, measurable outcomes, then drive adoption and report results through a regular QBR/SBR cadence.
• Expand the footprint. Identify and win new use cases and business units, while protecting the pipeline already in motion.
• Run a disciplined deal process. Qualify every opportunity with MEDDPICC, and keep Salesforce clean, current and forecast-ready.
• Compete and win. Position Seismic against AI-native competitors and the “we can build it ourselves” argument with a clear, credible, value-based story.
• Lead without a team. Mobilize Product, Customer Success, Legal, Finance and executive sponsors to give Amazon what it needs, without direct authority over any of them.
