Account Manager

Insurance plays an important role in people’s lives, providing protection and peace of mind through life’s adventures and unexpected turns. About the Role

You'll grow a book of enterprise accounts by understanding what matters to each customer and turning that knowledge into lasting relationships. On our Growth Team, you'll connect insurance carriers' business priorities to technology that makes communication clearer and more human. You'll partner closely with our Customer team, engage senior stakeholders, and own the plans and pipeline that help your accounts grow. We’re in our Boston office Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays to connect, collaborate, and learn together. Recurring meetings typically run between 9:30am and 4:30pm for commuter flexibility.

What you’ll do

• Build lasting customer relationships and account plans grounded in each customer's business goals, priorities, and organizational structure.
• Partner with our Customer team to increase adoption and value, bringing Marketing, Product, Design, and Engineering together to execute account strategy.
• Build pipeline and deliver against your revenue quota, keeping opportunity records, account plans, and reporting accurate in our sales system.
• Develop your knowledge of our platform and industry, track market changes, and build relationships at events and conferences.

Your first year

• First 90 days: You've met key customer stakeholders, learned their priorities, and assessed your accounts alongside the Customer team.
• By 6 months: You've developed account plans, identified growth opportunities, and established consistent pipeline reporting and cross-functional follow-through.
• By 12 months: You've helped customers deepen adoption, demonstrated value, and advanced expansion opportunities across your book of accounts.

What you'll bring

• 4+ years in account management closing enterprise software deals, including large, complex accounts and sales cycles of six months or longer.
• Clear communication, strong organization, and attention to detail; you build trusted relationships and collaborate well as priorities change.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, with the judgment to apply them thoughtfully and responsibly.
• Ability to work from our Boston office three days a week and travel 30–40% to develop and maintain customer relationships.

Nice to have

• Experience in Property & Casualty insurance.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:
At Hi Marley, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The annual base salary for this role is expected to fall within the range of [$56,500-$93,500], depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Offers are determined based on these factors as well as internal peer equity. It’s most common for new hires to start near the midpoint of the range, allowing room for growth as employees develop in their role. In addition to base pay, this role includes a variable compensation component. Total earnings will vary based on individual and/or team performance.
