Job Description

G2 is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of reliable software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to develop effective technology solutions.

In this role, you will help build and improve software features, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain high standards for code quality, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements.
Develop and improve application features based on business and user needs.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
Create and maintain automated tests to support software quality.
Contribute to system architecture, technical documentation, and development planning.
Support application integrations, database operations, and API development as needed.
Evaluate existing code and recommend improvements for scalability, security, and maintainability.

Skills and Experience

Professional experience in software development or a related engineering role.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.
Familiarity with APIs, databases, version control systems, and software testing.
Knowledge of software development life cycles and collaborative development workflows.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively within a team.
Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, or modern application frameworks is an advantage.
