My sales experience empowered me early in my career, enhancing my skills in communication and soft skills, which I find invaluable.
Mhmm. Mhmm. Absolutely. I think people underestimate, like, the art in, like, writing a really good email or, like, cold cold approaching. You know? And that's something that I feel like being empowered in, like, early on in your career is really invaluable. Yep. Absolutely. I was in an entry level, sales role as well. Definitely would recommend it to anyone exploring, in their early career who might think, like, they're leaning really heavily on soft skills. I think it's a really good transition to kinda empowering you that way.
My sales experience led me to realize my lack of financial literacy, prompting me to learn about budgeting and investing, which transformed my career path.
Pretty quickly. Like, I thought it was us, whatever, not a big deal, but then you start to learn a thing or two, and and you're like, wait. Like, I'm I'm not as financial literate as I thought. Like, I knew the value of a dollar. I knew money was important. I mean, most people do, but I I certainly felt like I was a bit more astute than I realized I was. And so I literally, like, went on a podcast and just searched up, like, optimized finances, and there's a podcast called optimist optimal finance daily. So I just started that, and that just opened my world up to financial independence and, you know, budgeting, investing, all that stuff, and and you kinda just get hooked. It's, honestly, like a drug. So, I was doing that for a few years, just self self taught, self, you know, learning and stuff like that. And, man, I just had to share it. I was so excited that this stuff was just out there. And I felt like the messages, I felt like I could have done a better job with messaging, and so that's why I felt like I wanted to start a pod and and get after it. Yeah. Yeah. I, like, literally couldn't help it. Mhmm.
My sales experience empowered me early in my career, enhancing my communication skills and confidence, which I find invaluable.
