Sofia is a Vice President at Bessemer Venture Partners, investing in healthcare and life sciences from seed to growth stages. She co-authored reports on scaling health tech businesses, analyzing 100+ top companies. She began her career at Bain & Company, working on strategy and due diligence in healthcare and tech. Before Bessemer, she was an investor at BoxGroup Ventures and co-founded Nucleate, a program helping scientists commercialize research. Sofia holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Chemistry from Harvard. Originally from Guatemala, she attended boarding school in Singapore and has traveled to over 35 countries. She enjoys reguetón and exploring new destinations with her fiancé, Alex.
