## Experience

### Founder / Engineer, OrgX (2025-11 – present)
Remote · Built continuity infrastructure for AI agents including persistent memory, typed claims, trust scoring, decision provenance, and audit trails. Ship and operate a production MCP server exposing 50+ tools to Claude Code, Cursor, and ChatGPT, listed on Smithery and open sourced on GitHub.

### Founder / Engineer, BrainBuffet (2024-01 – 2025-12)
Remote · Built an AI course-generation platform using Next.js, Flask, AWS/SQS, OpenAI, and Anthropic. Generated 250+ courses from topic to structured output in under five minutes.

### Software Engineer, Quality Enablement, Alma (2023-06 – 2026-07)
Remote · Embedded with clinical operations to ship AI-assisted clinical workflows and compliance tooling. Drove HIPAA treatment-plan reassessment to 72% adoption, owned end-to-end clinical compliance integrations with ~2 second webhook latency, built an 11-skill AI engineering workflow with typed CI checkpoints, and launched provider consent reaching 19,570 providers (~85% of modal viewers). Analyzed export reliability and eliminated size-dependent OOMs through batched processing.

### Lead Backend Software Engineer, Vessel Health (2020-08 – 2023-08)
Remote · Led backend architecture for authentication, automated hardware calibration, and operational workflows while establishing design standards across engineering. Owned the data model and API design for an API re-architecture that cut post-deploy regressions 93% and led production triage across iOS, backend, and data.

### Software & Data Engineer, Capital One (2017-09 – 2019-12)
Plano, TX · Automated Snowflake onboarding, metadata registration, and data-quality validation in a PCI-regulated environment, reducing onboarding from six weeks to two days and enabling self-service for 12 teams. Hardened Spark / Scala near-real-time loaders processing millions of records daily, cutting job failures 47% and unblocking downstream reporting.

### Application Developer, MD Anderson Cancer Center (2014-06 – 2016-04)
Greater Houston · - Planned and pitched an Internal Hackathon to the CIO - Developed and tested web-based applications using Selenium, Protractor - Eliminated +500 duplicates from Precare system using SQL - Contributed to Agile scrum development, using .NET, ColdFusion, Angular, and JavaScript (+15 user stories)

## Projects

### Percey
This project simulates the growth of a slack community using reinforcement learning. It is comprised of a simulator and accompanying graph visualization web application. Building an online community is one of the major challenges in the evolution of civilization nowadays. New online forums, chat-rooms, and social networks are springing up every day. Management of these online communities involves many challenges. Management of a community is an inherently human action ranging in scope from the 3-person family to an international conglomerate. Current attempts to manage online communities, focus only on understanding hierarchy on a routine basis. This project aims to manage the growth of a simulated “Slack” community in real time by the use of reinforcement learning. Using this technique to determine the best internal matches will significantly increase group engagement. You can view the demo at https://percey.herokuapp.com

### Dermashift - Capstone Senior Design Project
Dermashift - Diagnostic device for pressure ulcer formation Pressure ulcers (PUs), i.e. bed sores, are chronic injuries largely affecting over 2.5 million patients annually. Although considered preventable, present standards to detect PUs have low specificity and sensitivity or are difficult to implement due to time or cost constraints. PUs are caused by prolonged pressure, resulting in ischemia and tissue necrosis. Since pressure-induced ischemia alters blood reperfusion and oxygen concentration levels, measuring O2 changes prior to and after reperfusion is a promising indicator for PU formation. We have a created a low-cost, handheld device that induces reperfusion (via an automated loading mechanism) and measures the changes in O2 (via reflectance pulse oximetry), thus quantitatively assessing PU formation based on the change in O2 in clinical settings.

### Efficient Conference Networking Web App
When you arrive at a conference the first question you ask is who should I meet? This web app connects you to people at a conference based on compatibility between conference attendees. It takes into account topical interests and skills and matches you with possible mentees, peers, and mentors to meet during the conference.
