This is a key personnel role on a pending DoD contract. The selected candidate joins Zaden now and supports other Zaden programs, including our model-based systems engineering work, until the contract starts, planned for spring 2027.
Lead the enterprise architecture and data lane for a DoD cyber mission customer in the Baltimore-Washington area, and serve as the contractor's primary point of contact for that directorate. You'll manage contractor staff across architecture, data governance, business intelligence, records and knowledge management, and AI/ML, with the authority to make binding decisions for the contractor team.
What you'll do:
- Provide management and oversight of contractor personnel and activities in the architecture and data lane, including subcontractors.
- Keep communication between Government and contractor teams open, and track requirements and activities so the Government can monitor and evaluate continuously.
- Own the quality and efficiency of delivery against every requirement in the lane.
- Assist the Government with the financial and business processes of the contract, short of inherently Governmental functions.
- Raise contractual, programmatic or resource issues to the Government early, and make decisions for the contractor team when the Government needs one.
Must have:
- An active TS/SCI clearance at the time of application (U.S. citizenship required).
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems or engineering.
- At least five of the last ten years designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise-scale IT solutions in a DoD, Intelligence Community or equivalent environment.
- At least five of the last ten years of hands-on work developing architecture artifacts in the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
- At least five of the last ten years developing and implementing an enterprise data governance framework, including data modeling, data quality management and a data catalog.
- At least five of the last ten years designing and managing solutions in unclassified and classified hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud environments.
Nice to have:
- Experience leading enterprise architecture, data governance or data platform teams for a DoD or federal customer.
- DoDAF experience alongside UAF, including architecture work in an MBSE tool such as Cameo or MagicDraw.
- AWS or Azure work at DoD Impact Levels 4 to 6, plus data strategy and AI/ML lifecycle management.
- PMP certification.
- Business intelligence delivery on the Microsoft stack, records management under NARA-approved schedules, and knowledge management programs.
