Battery Technician (Overnight Shift)

About Throne

Throne is a fast growing Series C startup transforming local communities by delivering clean, safe, accessible restrooms to cities, transit agencies, and public spaces. With flagship customers in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Ann Arbor, and Washington DC, and recent launches in New York City, Atlanta, and Seattle, we're rapidly scaling into new markets in 2027 and beyond.

We recognize an unspoken problem: that better bathroom accommodations are sorely needed in most cities. Public and retail bathrooms are neither positioned to meet demand, nor incentivized to provide the quality experience people deserve.

Our mission is to provide peace of mind to the millions of people who set out on an adventure on any given day. That adventure may be big or small. It may involve taking your toddler to the park, driving a stranger to the airport, running a half marathon, or exploring a new city for the first time.

Role Overview

After our recent launch in New York City, Throne is looking for several full-time Battery Technicians to join our team, reporting to the NYC Technical Operations Manager. You will be responsible for performing routine and emergency battery swaps across our fleet of self-contained restroom units, located in all 5 boroughs, as well as picking up batteries at our charging facility in New Jersey.

This role is scheduled on one of two overnight shifts: 6:00 pm - 2:30 am or 12:00 am - 8:30 am, with regular weekend rotations.

This is a temporary position currently anticipated to continue through approximately March 31, 2027, subject to business needs. Employment is at-will, and either the employee or Throne may end it at any time, with or without cause or notice. The anticipated end date is not a guarantee of employment through that date, and extension or transfer to another role is not guaranteed.

New hires in this role start at $30.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare and supplemental benefit rates that increase with tenure.
