Senior Solutions Architect, APAC

Who We Are

Spectro Cloud helps platform teams and cloud providers modernize and manage infrastructure for the AI era without adding more tools or operational complexity.

With PaletteAI, enterprises, public sector organizations, neoclouds and sovereign clouds can build, govern and operate full-stack environments across VMs, Kubernetes, edge, regulated and air-gapped locations, and AI infrastructure. PaletteAI Launchpads help teams start quickly with urgent outcomes such as VMware migration, token cost control or edge modernization, then scale into enterprise-wide lifecycle management, governance and fleet operations on the same platform.

About The Job

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect based in Singapore to lead the technical side of our sales motion across Asia Pacific. You will be the trusted technical advisor for enterprise, telco, and sovereign AI customers in the region, shaping deals from first discovery through technical win and a clean handoff into delivery.

Asia Pacific is one of our most important growth markets. Organizations across Singapore, Southeast Asia, and the broader region are modernizing infrastructure under strict data residency and regulatory requirements, building out GPU and AI capacity, and moving workloads between cloud, on-premises, and edge. This role puts you at the center of those conversations, working closely with Account Executives, regional partners, and our global Field Engineering team to win, land, and expand strategic accounts.

The Team

Field Engineering at Spectro Cloud spans the full customer lifecycle: deal shaping and technical win in pre-sales, successful delivery and adoption post-sales, and the repeatable systems and partner enablement that let us scale without leaning on hero-based execution. You will be part of the Sales Engineering team, partnering day to day with the APAC sales team and working alongside Professional Services, Technical Account Management, and Principal Architects to make sure what we sell is what customers successfully run in production.

Job Responsibilities

• Own the technical win for opportunities across Singapore and Southeast Asia, partnering with Account Executives on account strategy, deal qualification, and close plans.
• Lead discovery, solution design, and architecture sessions that map customer business outcomes to Palette, Cluster Profiles, policies, and Day-2 operations.
• Deliver compelling, customer-specific demonstrations and technical presentations to audiences ranging from platform engineers to CIO and CTO stakeholders.
• Plan and run structured proofs of value with clear success criteria, defined timelines, and documented outcomes, using standard Field Engineering templates rather than one-off engagements.
• Position solutions that address regional requirements, including data sovereignty and residency, MAS Technology Risk Management guidelines, PDPA, and sector-specific regulatory expectations in financial services, government, and telco.
• Support opportunities across our key use cases: multi-cloud and on-premises Kubernetes, VM modernization with KubeVirt, edge deployments for retail and industrial environments, and GPU and AI infrastructure for enterprises and sovereign or neo-cloud providers.
• Build technical relationships with regional partners, including hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud), global and regional systems integrators, and hardware partners, and enable them to position and deliver Spectro Cloud independently.
• Scope services and shape deal structure so that delivery is realistic and repeatable, and drive a clean handoff to Professional Services and Technical Account Management after close.
• Capture field feedback and product feature requests from APAC customers and bring them to Product and Engineering with clear business context.
• Contribute to regional plays, reference architectures, and reusable demo assets that make the APAC motion more repeatable over time.
• Represent Spectro Cloud at regional events such as KubeCon + CloudNativeCon, cloud and AI summits, and partner forums.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Field Engineer, including 4+ years supporting enterprise software sales in Asia Pacific.
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud native infrastructure, including cluster lifecycle management, networking, storage, and security.
• Strong working knowledge of at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and on-premises infrastructure such as VMware, bare metal, or private cloud.
• Proven track record of winning complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals and running successful proofs of value.
• Experience working with customers in regulated industries in the region, with an understanding of data residency and compliance requirements in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to adapt the message for technical practitioners and executive audiences across different cultures and business norms.
• Comfortable operating with autonomy in a regional office while collaborating closely with global teams across time zones.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes management platforms such as Rancher, OpenShift, Tanzu, or Anthos.
• Background with KubeVirt or VM migration and modernization programs.
• Exposure to GPU infrastructure and AI platforms, including NVIDIA technologies and sovereign or neo-cloud GPU providers in the region.
• Experience with edge computing deployments in retail, manufacturing, logistics, or telco environments.
• Existing relationships within the Singapore and Southeast Asia partner ecosystem, including regional systems integrators and telco providers.
• Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, CKS, or professional-level cloud certifications.
• Proficiency in one or more additional regional languages, such as Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Thai, or Vietnamese.
• Prior experience as an early technical hire building out a new region.

Location: Singapore. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Singapore. We do not provide Sponsorship at this time.

Coverage: Singapore and Southeast Asia, with support for broader APAC opportunities (ANZ, India, Japan, Korea) as needed.

Travel: Up to 40% across the region for customer meetings, workshops, partner events, and proofs of value.
