Life Sciences Account Executive - New Logo (Dallas Area)

Why We Have This Role

The Life Sciences industry is at a pivotal intersection of patient outcomes and experience management. Qualtrics is poised to be the organization that ushers in the next level of maturity in the category of Experience Management (XM) for the world’s leading Pharmaceutical, MedTech, and many other Life Sciences organizations.

We are looking for someone to join our Account Executive team with at least 3 years of successful individual sales experience and at least 1 year in a hunter closing role. Our Life Sciences New Logo AE team is composed of highly driven, curious individuals dedicated to closing experience gaps. Using the Qualtrics Experience Management SaaS platform, Generative AI offerings, and unique DaaS capabilities, you'll build deep, strategic relationships while hunting for net-new opportunities specifically within the Life Sciences space. You'll thrive by digging beneath surface answers to understand complex regulatory and enterprise needs at their core, continuously learning, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver transformative results.

How You’ll Find Success

• Strategic Orchestration: You view your territory as a business. You effectively quarterback a cross-functional team, leveraging dedicated Industry Scientists, Engineers, and Operations Experts to structure and close complex net-new deals.
• Vertical Fluency: You move beyond features and functions to align XM with critical C-level initiatives such as improving clinical trial retention, boosting patient adherence, and optimizing field force effectiveness.
• Operational Rigor: You treat sales as a science, utilizing methodologies (MEDDIC) to forecast accurately, build a sustainable pipeline, and acquire ideal customer profiles (ICPs) in the Life Sciences space.
• Business Acumen: Demonstrates a drive to understand the complex regulatory and commercial context of the Life Sciences sector, acting as a culture and team builder.
• Communication: Strong communicator who influences and builds trust across stakeholders at multiple levels, cultivating trusted advisor relationships with the C-Suite to elevate XM from a tool to a strategic platform.

How You’ll Grow

• Clear, structured promotion path via Qualtrics' auto-promotion framework based on performance, not tenure, and continuous Career Action Planning with your manager.
• Access to internal mobility platform Qmobility for additional growth opportunities into leadership or other functional areas globally.
• Skill development in business acumen, complex multi-stakeholder negotiation, and consultative selling into the Life Sciences vertical.
• Opportunity to expand expertise within strategic accounts and deepen client partnerships through travel and in-person engagement.

Things You’ll Do

• Manage a targeted territory focused purely on acquiring net-new accounts in the Life Sciences vertical (Pharmaceutical, MedTech, etc.) through 100% outbound hunting.
• Collaborate with internal teams—including Professional Services, Implementation, and Subject Matter Experts—to align solutions with client needs.
• Stay current on solution offerings (SaaS, DaaS, AI) and the competitive landscape to craft effective proposals, frame value propositions, and optimize pricing strategies.
• Execute a systematic approach to fast-paced contract negotiations, skillfully navigating the procurement, legal, and security landscapes typical of the industry.
• Act as the voice of the customer back to our Product teams, directly influencing the future development of how the Qualtrics XM Platform is deployed in Life Sciences.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

• Location: Must be located in the Dallas, TX area.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt, with examples of overcoming skill gaps through manager collaboration.
• 3+ years of successful individual software subscription sales experience with at least 1 year in a hunter closing role.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota; candidates with Presidents Club or equivalent achievements preferred.
• Domain Expertise: 2+ years of sales experience specifically selling into Life Sciences verticals or navigating complex, multi-stakeholder procurement cycles is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with MEDDIC/MEDDPICC sales methodology and Salesforce.com hygiene.
• Intellectual curiosity and a drive to understand the regulatory context of Life Sciences.
• Willingness to travel 1-3 times per quarter for client meetings.

What You Should Know About This Team

• Growth-focused hunter culture valuing curiosity, high integrity, and team collaboration. Winning new enterprise clients and establishing long-term strategic beachheads are central to our operational goals.
• We combine the fast-paced agility of a startup with the resources and proven success of an established enterprise, offering a unique environment where you can make a tangible impact on the market.
• We maintain a culture of high ownership, meritocracy, and performance.

• 100% merit-based promotions, driven by results and impact rather than politics or tenure.
• Flexible hybrid work environment supporting jeans and dogs in the office.

• Private health insurance and a wellness stipend to support your personal well-being and growth.
