Senior Director, Web and Digital Marketing

Location requirements:

Remote based role. Open to candidates in the United States.

About the Role

BigPanda is looking for a Senior Director of Web & Digital Marketing who thinks in systems and builds for the future – not someone to run what we have, but someone to rethink it. This role is for a leader who is AI-native: someone who reaches for AI tools first, experiments relentlessly, and sees the current marketing technology landscape as an opportunity to rebuild smarter rather than extend what exists.

This is not a Marketing Operations role. Marketing Ops is a strong, dedicated function that owns the implementation of our tools and technology – this role works alongside them as a strategic partner, bringing the digital marketing expertise and external perspective needed to evaluate what belongs in our stack, what should be sunset, and what should be built differently. The website is the exception – this hire owns it directly, end-to-end. Everywhere else, the best outcomes come from this role and Marketing Ops thinking through the hard decisions together.

You will own our entire digital presence – web, paid media, search visibility, agency relationships, security, and compliance – and bring the clarity to know what to keep, what to replace, and what to build from scratch. This is a senior individual contributor role.

Areas of Accountability

Website, Design & Digital Experience

Own the BigPanda website as a business asset – responsible for its performance, design, evolution, and pipeline contribution. You bring a strong design sensibility and technical acumen. This includes leading a website redesign, managing the ongoing roadmap, and ensuring the site is continuously optimized for conversion. You set the vision and hold partners to it.

AI-Native Digital Strategy & Visibility

Own BigPanda's position in search – traditional, AI-generated, and answer engine. You don’t just optimize for where buyers have been; you anticipate where they’re going. You have a point of view on AEO and GEO, you understand how large language models surface and cite content, and you build the infrastructure to make BigPanda visible and credible across every surface that matters. You leverage AI tools to move faster, test more, and scale content and technical SEO in ways that weren’t possible two years ago.

Paid Media & Performance Marketing

Set and own our paid media strategy with a performance marketing discipline – clear accountability for pipeline contribution, ROI, and spend efficiency. You know how to build a paid program that scales, and you know when not to scale until the measurement infrastructure supports it.

Security, Compliance & Governance

Own the security posture of our digital properties and ensure compliance across regions – including GDPR, cookie consent, and data privacy requirements. You understand how to work with Legal and IT to navigate these requirements. You bring the same rigor to vendor security reviews and contractor agreements, ensuring every partner in our ecosystem meets the bar.

Insights & Reporting

Translate digital performance into strategic decisions. You will own web analytics, build the reporting infrastructure that gives leadership real-time visibility into traffic, conversion, and pipeline contribution, and present a clear, confident point of view on what the data means and what we should do about it.

Infrastructure Rethink

Own and evolve our entire execution model – including how and when we engage external partners – with an eye toward building something more agile, AI-enabled, and less dependent on traditional agency structures.

Who You Are

You are AI-native. You build workflows with AI tools, you experiment with what’s possible, and you see the current moment as an opportunity to rethink how digital marketing functions. You have strong opinions about what the right stack looks like, and you’re willing to make the case for change even when it’s uncomfortable.

You have owned digital infrastructure end-to-end before – not just managed it. You’ve led a website redesign, navigated security and compliance requirements across regions, and built paid programs that are accountable to pipeline, not just impressions. You have a strong design sensibility and can direct creative partners with confidence.

You are an exceptional cross-functional partner. You know how to work alongside functions like Marketing Ops and Product Marketing to drive shared outcomes. You bring strategic altitude paired with operational excellence. You don’t wait for a perfect plan, you don’t need a large team, and you move quickly when something isn’t working.

What We're Looking For

• 12+ years in digital marketing with demonstrated, senior ownership of SEO/AEO/GEO, website strategy, paid media, and conversion optimization
• AI-native – you reach for AI tools first, know how to get results from them, and understand how to leverage them radically for velocity, creativity, and execution
• Proven experience auditing and rebuilding digital infrastructure in close partnership with Marketing Ops or similar functions
• Experience leading a full website redesign from business case through launch, with a strong eye for design
• Expertise in AEO, GEO, and AI-generated search – with a forward-looking point of view on where this is headed
• Experience owning website security posture, GDPR/consent compliance, and vendor security reviews across multiple regions
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills – able to hold agencies and contractors to a high bar
• Performance marketing discipline with clear accountability for pipeline contribution and ROI
• Exceptional communicator – able to translate complex digital strategy into compelling narratives for senior leadership
• Natural collaborator – able to work alongside technical and operational functions to drive shared outcomes
