The ideal candidate combines strong analytical horsepower with a systems mindset and genuine comfort with ambiguity
You ask why until you understand the business objective behind a request, you design solutions that scale beyond the first use case, and you already use AI to build and move faster than your job title suggests
You’re naturally curious about how AI can improve the way work gets done, but you know technology is only valuable when it solves a real business problem
And you finish: to you, work is done when it's adopted, documented, and running without you, not when the analysis is shipped
At least five years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Go-to-Market Analytics, or Business Operations, or a highly analytical operating role
Investigate open-ended business questions, determining the right data, methodology, and solution
SQL fluency and comfort handling large, intricate datasets – you think in joins, grain, and systems of record
A systems mindset: you anticipate edge cases, understand downstream impacts, and design scalable solutions that won’t need to be rebuilt every quarter
Fluency with modern AI tools to accelerate analysis, problem-solving, and development – ou're comfortable working with agentic AI workflows, critically evaluating outputs, and choosing the right solution for the problem
Strong analytical instincts and business judgment – you optimize for the objective behind the ask, not the ask itself
Executive-ready communication skills – you can confidently present your own analysis to senior leadership
Experience supporting forecasting, revenue planning, quota planning, executive reporting, or other core Revenue Operations planning processes
Hands-on experience working with Salesforce data — reports, objects, and the data structures underneath them
Experience building reporting and dashboards with BI tools such as Tableau
Nice to have: Python or other GTM tooling, such as Clay
What the job involves
We're hiring an analyst and builder for our Revenue Operations team to be a force multiplier for our go-to-market organization. Sometimes that means tackling a question with no playbook yet. Sometimes it means running an established process and improving it as you go
You'll take on ambiguous, high impact questions and turn them into clearly defined problems, design the right solution, and drive it through build, adoption, and continuous improvement
The role has three modes. First, you'll drive the analytical core: forecasting, executive reporting, revenue planning, QBR-grade analyses over large datasets, quota and target analytics, and the models that support forecasting and planning. You'll present your own work directly to leadership and translate complex business questions into actionable insights
Second, you'll build net-new systems: internal tools, data models, and reporting infrastructure that teammates then run and scale. That includes planning models, dashboards, and operational workflows that make the business more efficient over time
Third, you'll make Revenue Operations more leveraged with AI, whether that's building AI-assisted tooling, designing account scoring and research logic in our go-to-market stack, or automating work that shouldn't be manual. You’ll constantly look for more opportunities to increase leverage across the organization
Build and continuously improve our reporting engine end to end, from the data models and infrastructure underneath to the reporting and forecasting rhythms that help leadership understand business performance, risks, and opportunities. When an issue traces back to upstream CRM design, process, or data quality, partner with the right teams to fix it at the source
Own QBR processes, including analyses using large, complex datasets and present your findings and recommendations directly to go-to-market leadership
Contribute to revenue planning, quota and target setting: including capacity-based quota analysis, attainment and distribution analysis, and repeatable quarterly target-update processes
Investigate complex business questions with no established playbook. You'll determine the right data, methodology, and level of analysis needed to produce a decision-ready answer
Build internal tools using AI-assisted development, balancing speed with accuracy, maintainability, and security without over-engineering
Architect solutions you may not build yourself: translate business problems into clear requirements, decision logic, and success criteria, then drive execution with Business Systems, Data Engineering, and other partner teams
The application process
We’ll take a few weeks to review all applications. If we’d like to spend more time with you, we’ll reach out to arrange next steps, which will include 3-4 sets of meetings with your future colleagues
In the interview process, we’ll look to learn more about your skills, experiences, capabilities, and motivators. Many of our questions will be aimed at understanding how you might operate here at Betterment. Depending on the role, we may ask you to complete a case study exercise or technical assessments, as we want to collect a robust set of data points to better inform our decisions
On average, it takes us around 3-5 weeks to make a hiring decision, depending on your availability and sense of urgency. As a best practice, we aim to interview at least 2-3 final round candidates before making a hiring decision. Please note that, as we usually receive an overwhelming number of applications for open positions, we’re unable to offer individual feedback during the interview process
We recognize that interviewing for a new role is a big deal. We appreciate you considering Betterment as the next step in your career, and our Recruiting Team is here to support and advocate for you through the interview process!
