Starting Salary: $65,544.18 - $72,098.60 (Salary commensurate with experience)

Skyward is currently looking for Entry Level Software Engineers who have a passion for programming blah, blah, blah…. That’s what they all say, but Skyward is different from your typical software company.

Work on something that truly makes a difference

With a few exceptions, we’ve all gone through the public or private school system. We know all about grades, schedules, attendance, and discipline (at least some of us J). At Skyward you will be part of a team that develops the software that helps teachers provide the best possible education and helps students be successful. Or maybe you’re more interested in working on the business-side software – payroll, purchasing, account management, time off, and more.

Software Engineers from the start

Skyward was founded by a programmer and we have remained true to our roots ever since. Our collaborative environment provides the opportunity to work directly with experienced software engineers, quality specialists, product owners, UX designers, and actual customers to advance your skills and develop the best product possible.

As a software engineer at Skyward…

You'll work with object-oriented programming concepts and apply your working knowledge of C#, along with front-end technologies like CSS and JavaScript. Our agile, user-centered development process means software engineers will be working directly with quality specialists, product owners, and UX strategists to ensure the best possible user experience when software is shipped.

Professional growth starts on day one!

Skyward has one of the best onboarding programs in the industry. Our Learning and Development Department is dedicated to providing you with both an individual and collaborative learning experience that prepares you to join one of our development teams. You will continue to receive that same level of passion and commitment from your development team. We take tremendous pride in helping you achieve your potential. We are committed to your personal and professional growth, and we are dedicated to helping you advance in your career at Skyward.

What you need:

• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or similar programming experience
• Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team and with customers
• Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
• Experience with the Microsoft .NET/MS SQL stack and/or OpenEdge ABL (Progress) is a plus
