About Us
At Félix, we are building the indispensable financial companion for Latinos in the US. We combine an AI-powered, conversational-first interface with real-time financial infrastructure to make cross-border money movement as easy as sending a text. Starting with fast, affordable remittances powered by AI and crypto rails, we are expanding into credit, savings, and wallet services to support the complete immigrant financial journey. Our ambition is to deliver a white-glove financial experience with the simplicity of a conversation to a community the traditional financial system has historically overlooked.
We are a hyper-growth Series C company, backed by over $300 million in funding from top-tier global investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, QED, Castle Island, Switch Ventures, HTwenty, Monashees, General Catalyst Customer Value Fund. This isn't just about the numbers; it's a testament to the trust our investors have in our vision and our team. Additionally, Félix was selected as an “Endeavour Entrepreneur” and was a recipient of the CrossTech Fintech Startups Award.
Joining Félix means you will be part of a team building a legacy, a company that will outlive us all. This is a rare opportunity to apply your skills to a deeply meaningful mission—serving a community that has been underserved for too long because we are obsessed with our customers. We get things done with urgency and focus, driven by extreme ownership over our impact. We collaborate without ego, fostering radical transparency and fierce loyalty so we can grow together. Because we aim for insanely great rather than just good enough, we stay insatiably curious—always experimenting, building the future today, and delivering a product that truly makes our users' lives better.
About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and highly technical Staff Platform Engineer to join our EngOps team. This role is central to our next phase of growth, focusing on designing and building a robust Internal Developer Platform (IDP) that will empower engineering teams to move faster, improve reliability, and reduce friction at scale. You will position AI/LLM infrastructure as a critical, integrated component of our broader platform strategy.
In this role, you will be the architect behind our IDP, evolving our infrastructure into a sophisticated enterprise system. You will ensure our platform supports advanced automation across critical internal and product functions while maintaining operational excellence and a world-class developer experience.
You will act as a foundational technical anchor for EngOps, helping shape the future architecture of this new squad and analyzing what the division needs next as we scale. If you thrive at the intersection of deep software infrastructure, operational excellence, and agentic AI, this is your mission.

- Technical Advocacy: Define and evangelize best practices for infrastructure-as-code and platform standards across all engineering squads, ensuring consistency and long-term maintainability.
- MLOps/LLM Infrastructure: Partner with the AI/Data teams to design scalable pipelines for LLM model deployment, serving, and monitoring, ensuring our "AI-powered chatbot" remains performant and cost-effective at scale.
- Lifecycle Management: Own the long-term technical roadmap for the Internal Developer Platform, balancing the immediate need for speed with the management of technical debt to prevent future bottlenecks.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate directly with Product and Product Engineering leadership to align infrastructure automations with business goals, ensuring the platform is always a facilitator and enabler for fast development and experimentation.
Requirements:
- Developer Experience (DX) Strategy: Deep experience deploying and customizing developer portals like Backstage or Port.io to create a seamless, self-service environment that accelerates time-to-market.
- Cloud & Platform Mastery: Deep expertise in Cloud Architecture (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform, Networking, and Security alongside 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Code and Automation led: Expertise with implementing unit testing on Terraform, Helmcharts with Terratest
- Technical Mastery: Exceptional expertise in golang and deep knowledge of System Architecture.
- Strategic Technical Leadership: Proven ability to drive architectural strategy, solve complex operational bottlenecks, and enable engineering teams through platform innovation.
- Communication & Evangelism: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders (Product/Leadership) and drive consensus across engineering squads.
- Mentorship at Scale: A documented track record of growing senior and mid-level engineers, not just via code reviews but through architectural guidance and cultural influence.
