Head of Sales, Ad Agencies

Ready to take your career to the next level?

Skai is looking for the best and the brightest to join our rapidly growing team. We're proud of our industry-leading digital marketing software but we're even prouder of the people behind it. That's where you come in!

Skai's platform is evolving beyond traditional media optimization into agentic marketing — giving brands the data, tools and infrastructure to build AI-driven workflows on top of Skai. Increasingly, prospects are already experimenting with AI tools or considering building marketing capability in-house instead of buying a platform.

With over one million active campaigns across 185 countries, over 3 billion keywords managed and over $7 billion in marketing spend resulting in over $350 billion in client revenues managed with our software; Skai empowers the world’s top brands, advertisers and their agency partners with the very best in marketing technology.

You will play a critical role in building and managing the team responsible for developing new opportunities with independent advertising and media agencies — agencies not affiliated with the major global holding companies. As a leader, you will drive for performance and operational excellence as you help execute sales strategies to close revenue and build a pipeline of new business across the independent agency landscape in your region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and drive your sales team to peak performance selling into independent advertising and media agencies
• Collaborate with your EVP and the Management team to develop a business plan designed to meet and exceed your revenue goals, driven by growth across your independent agency book of business.
• Manage your revenue pipeline to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
• Recruit, hire and train members of the Sales Team, ideally with experience navigating independent agency sales cycles and relationships, to drive sales excellence
• Work closely with the Marketing and Sales Development team on events and targeted campaigns focused on the independent agency community, including industry associations, agency conferences and partner events
• Develop, coach and mentor your direct reports, including building executive-level relationships with independent agency leadership. Support employees through internal talent management programs and performance reviews

Key Requirements:

• 5-10 years of digital experience in a Sales and/or Sales Manager role, ideally selling platform or technology solutions into independent advertising or media agencies
• Deep understanding of the independent agency landscape — including AOR relationships, agency trading desks/programmatic teams, and holding company vs. independent agency business models — with established relationships across the independent agency community strongly preferred
• Willingness to learn. Creativity, passion, positivity, and drive
• People management experience
• BA/BS degree preferred, but will consider equivalent years of work experience
• Comfort with selling software and services
• SaaS and Sales experience preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and as part of the overall Sales team
• Knowledge of prospecting and CRM software (Ideally Salesforce &, Linkedin Navigator)
• Technical expertise and ability to acquire knowledge of our solutions

We are hybrid for the long term - with a great home/ office work mix (three days in office per week), passionate and diverse team members, and a vibrant company culture.

The salary range for this position is $165,000-190,000 plus commissions. The actual salary amount will vary depending on the applicants experience, skills and abilities as well as internal equity and market data.
