Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Gate Attendant to oversee access control and ensure the safety and security of our facility. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing entry points, conducting security screenings, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and contractors. Responsibilities

• Monitor access points using access control systems to authorize or deny entry based on established protocols
• Conduct thorough background checks on visitors, contractors, and vendors to verify identity and security clearance
• Perform CCTV surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity around the premises and detect suspicious behavior
• Respond promptly to emergencies by following emergency response procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety for all parties involved
• Complete detailed incident report writing to document security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure physical security measures are in place and functioning effectively

Requirements

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly preferred
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and access control systems is essential
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is strongly desired
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident response
• Strong communication skills for incident report writing, conflict management, and customer service interactions
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is required
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods, patrol the facility, perform heavy lifting when needed, and respond swiftly in emergencies
