Role description
Aligned LabsWe are looking to expand our team of expert consultants with Investment Funds & Asset Management Attorneys for part-time, fully remote work supporting frontier AI research. Projects start at $125–200 USD / hour, and the bracket can be flexible depending on the task.
This role includes evaluating and pressure-testing leading AI models on expert-level investment funds and asset management knowledge, creating and verifying graduate-level problems and worked solutions, and assessing whether AI-generated reasoning meets the standards of a trained investment funds and asset management attorney.

Who We're Looking For
You are a practicing attorney with 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Private Equity & Venture Capital Fund Formation, Hedge Fund Formation & Operation, Private Credit & Debt Fund Formation, Real Estate & Infrastructure Fund Formation, Registered Funds, Investment Adviser Regulation & Compliance, Secondaries & GP-Led Transactions, Separately Managed Accounts & Co-Investment Vehicles, Management Company & GP Matters, ERISA & Benefit-Plan Investor Issues for Funds, Investor-Side Fund Investing, or Commodity Pool & CPO/CTA Regulation.
Ideal backgrounds include
- Partners, counsel, and senior associates in the investment funds groups of leading law firms
- Attorneys at asset management specialist and mid-size firms
- In-house counsel at asset managers and alternative investment firms
- Attorneys at securities regulators with deep investment company and adviser regulation experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Fluent English reading and writing skills
- Based in the United States
- JD from a leading US law school and currently practicing
- 5+ years of experience in investment funds or asset management or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in at least one of the listed areas of investment funds and asset management
