ElevenLabs just launched an AI music generator they claim is cleared for commercial use — and it can now produce tracks that sound like your favorite artists. What do you think: is this the future of music, a new creative frontier, or just high-tech mimicry built on borrowed culture?
AI music generation is evolving; it will enhance creativity, not fully replace human musicians.
I think it is a future of music to a certain degree. I I I think there is no doubt. So AI generated music is pretty generic now, I would say. Like, the first time you're like, oh, like, this is amazing, but, you keep listening to AI generated music. And then at some point, you're like, oh, like, you can actually, you know, feel a certain pattern emerging. So it's like you sort of know that this is AI generated. But, that's the technology that we have today. Right? And then, as somebody said, the models that we have today are the probably, you know, the worst models we can ever have. So, yeah, the models will continue getting better and better, and I think that, the music creation ability for AI will continue improving. This will be the future of, you know, how people create music. And, you know, it may not be a 100% replacing human efforts, but, it's gonna be definitely augmenting, humans' ability to create, music.
